Coastal Adventures on the Isle of Wight

Thrill-seekers looking for a Coastal Adventure are in for a treat on the Isle of Wight. A short 45-minute ferry ride from England’s south coast, this centre is a dream come true for young watersports enthusiasts.

Our Isle of Wight centre covers 100 acres of beautiful fields and woodlands in a superb cliff top location, boasting stunning views over Whitecliff Bay, and direct beach access.

Surrounded by the Jurassic Coast designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, this is the most important area of Europe for dinosaur fossils. At its heart, the Isle of Wight centre’s five residential buildings – including an all-weather activity zone – border a tree-lined lane.

Visitors are able to enjoy surfing, kayaking, raft building and other sea-based activities. There’s plenty of fun to be had on land too. The excellent activity facilities include a high ropes course, an indoor heated swimming pool, abseiling towers and zipwire.

Adventures for all ages

At Kingswood Camps, our visitors are put into groups of similar ages, meaning siblings of different ages can meet new friends during the day, but have the reassurance of seeing a familiar face from time to time at meal times and during certain activities.

Whichever location, activity or excursion your child has chosen, we want to ensure that our young visitors are always having fun and are confident to try new challenges. That’s why each camps is split into different age groups; it allows us to tailor our activities to the perfect level for each group.

Each group has a dedicated camp coach, who acts like a big brother or sister to provide friendly support, gentle encouragement, safe supervision and a fair few laughs. It’s all part of ensuring everyone has as much fun as possible with their new friends, backed up by great support from someone who’s looking out for them.

Our summer camps allow young adventurers to spread their wings, make new friends and discover new skills in our ‘home away from home’ atmosphere. The camp coaches who look after our guests are particularly skilled at making sure this age group are having as much fun as possible, whilst feeling looked after, particularly if it’s their first trip away from home.

We give young people and early teens the opportunity to embrace every aspect of camp life, from sharing dorms to scaling climbing towers, developing valuable life skills and building self-esteem, whilst making new friends from over 75 countries around the world. Our team gently encourage them to push their boundaries and try exciting new adventures.

We know that older teens are looking for independence and adventure in the summer holidays. That’s why our camps provide a place for adrenaline junkies and fun-lovers to experience extreme challenges and enjoy a fantastic selection of evening entertainment, while chilling out with new friends and enjoying a greater sense of freedom.

Sleeping and eating

At the end of a long day of activities, it’s back to the dorms for a good night’s rest. The dorms at the Isle of Wight sleep 4-16 people with an en-suite or shared bathroom. You’ll share a room with other young people of the same age group and gender.

Although we arrange rooming based on age group, it may be possible to arrange for siblings of the same gender to share a room on request  (this cannot be guaranteed). Please note that it is not possible for brothers and sisters to share a room as all accommodation is split by gender.

In our canteen, we serve three hot meals per day, with lots of choice and seasonal variations. Each day there is a carefully balanced and nutritional meal plan. We can accommodate most special dietary needs, please let us know requirements at the time of booking.
